5 Best Beaches in Dubai

Dubai is known worldwide for its stunning beaches. Between October and May, with the ideal weather conditions, it becomes a paradise for beach lovers. Whether you want to relax on the shore and read a book or play beach volleyball with friends while enjoying a delicious lunch at a worthy restaurant, Dubai's beaches have a lot to offer. Here is a list of five beaches you must not miss in Dubai.

1-Palm West Jumeirah Beach

Palm West Jumeirah Beach is the beach belonging to the Palm Jumeirah Island. The beach offers breathtaking views of Dubai's skyline, kilometers of pristine waters, and mesmerizing sunsets. The promenade area is surrounded by luxury hotels, new beachfront restaurants, bars, and water sports. Along the entire promenade, there are 300 illuminated palm trees, creating a beautiful walking and running path at night. The promenade and beach are pet-friendly. Access to the promenade and beach is free, but to enter the sea, you can choose one of the private beaches of the hotels and pay an entrance fee.

Parking: There is underground parking available at Palm West Beach Jumeirah, free of charge, called West Beach Palm Jumeirah parking.

2-JBR Beach (Jumeirah Beach Residences) The JBR Beach strip is the central beach strip of Dubai Marina, located across the iconic Ain Dubai (Dubai Eye) Ferris wheel. The beach strip starts at Zero Gravity Beach Club and extends to the wave breakers near Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Along the beach, you can enjoy water sports, beach volleyball, snorkeling, fitness facilities, and an inflatable water park. The JBR Beach promenade offers a variety of restaurants, cafes, and entertainment areas, including a cinema, a souk (marketplace), and amusement facilities. Entry to the beach is free, but beach beds, showers, and changing rooms can be rented for a nominal fee.

Parking: There is free parking available for the first 3 hours, provided you dine at one of the promenade's restaurants with a minimum spend of 100 AED (please validate your parking ticket at the restaurant).

3-Umm Suqeim Beach / Sunset Beach

Umm Suqeim Beach is extremely popular among tourists because it offers perfect beach photo opportunities with the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel in the background. Umm Suqeim Beach is also known as Sunset Beach because its sunsets are truly special, attracting people specifically to witness the sunset. There are no cafes or restaurants in the area, so it is recommended to bring your own food. The beach tends to get crowded on weekends, so it is advisable to visit during weekdays for a peaceful day at the beach. Entry to the beach is free.

Parking: There are organized paid parking spaces at the beach, so it is recommended to use public transportation to reach the beach.
